Pigs are passive animals in Unturned that spawn in the wild. They are small and pink coloured.

They are passive and are not scared of the player unless attacked. After being hit, they flee away from the player, but after a short period, they can be approached again. They are therefore easier to hunt than Deer. Once killed, they drop some Leather and Pork. Killing them does not yield any Experience points.

They spawn on the official map PEI and the curated map Belgium.

Trivia:

• They were added alongside Cows, Wolves and Bears in the 3.13.7.0 update.
• A bug existed on multiplayer, where passive animals didn't run away from the player when hit, allowing hunting them without much effort. It was fixed in 3.13.8.0.

Pigs are a passive animal in Classic which spawn in forested or grassy areas. Like the deer, they flee from players when they are approached, shot or when noise is heard. They were not added into 3.0 until 3.13.7.0.

Overview:

Pigs dropped 1-4 Raw Bacon upon death, which can be turned into Cooked Bacon when near a lit campfire. They also dropped 0-4 Animal Pelt, an item used for crafting animal clothes and the Animalpack. Killing a pig yielded 5-7 experience, though not when run over or killed with traps. Pig yield slightly less experience and drops than deer.

Pigs can be killed with a variety of weapons, but it is preferable to bring either a Crossbow, or a Compound Bow for a silent kill, and to avoid them from running away.

As confirmed on Nelson's trello, he will re-add the Pigs into the game along with other animals. However, his priority is currently medium.

Hunter Achievement

The Steam achievement "Hunter" is awarded to the player when they have killed 100 deers or pigs (not including roadkilled).

• The original pig's face consisted of 2 black cubes meant to be eyes.
