The Beret was called a Beret for a reason, and not a Military Beret. Also, I edited the Police Truck page for optimization purposes. The Rio Police Car is now found on the Police Car page.
I know you have good intentions, though it really isn't necessary to change the name of the Beret page just because you think it's necessary for the page. The pages are named certain ways for certain reasons.
Upon looking through your recent edits, they have gotten quite a bit done. Though, some of your edits were quite impacting to the wiki, in a negative way. For instance, take the Ghillie Clothing names. It can be somewhat confusing to some players, and they may think it is a completely different item upon looking it up on the wiki. I will just say this: The vanilla items currently are not needing to be re-named at this point in time, so you don't need to worry about renaming vanilla item pages. Edits to the wiki are always appreciated, though they need to be kept up to good standards. I appreciate your effort to helping out the wiki! =^)
Improving Future Edits:
In the future when making edits, here are some tips to help improve your edit quality:
Try proofreading your edits. Use a proofreading software like Grammarly or MS Word if you need to.
If you want to be sure your edit is good-to-go, you can also ask someone to proofread your edit for you. That way, you can learn off of what fixes they make to improve your edits in the future!
Try to structure your edits so that the information isn't jumping from one fact topic to another. Instead, try to make it flow smoothly between each section. One of your edits had the appearance purpose under analysis, so I will probably have to go fix that if I haven't already.
If you have any questions Train, feel free to ask me or any of the Moderators/Administrators, as I and they are glad to help anytime.
Hope this helps!
MinergamesYT wrote: Aight train, I'll clarify 2 things regarding your message/request, just in case death is inactive for like a month:
1) If it is not linked to a page, be patient. If after some time there is no linked page, you can create a page to link it to. From there, that page can be edited and brought up to standards.
2) I know that the pages such as the Military Bottom for Rio link to the page for the standard military bottom page. If that happens, it's either 2 things:
The item is a re-skinned version of an existing item
The item does not exist yet (e.g. Navy Bottom) and links to a totally different page.
If it redirects you to a page unrelated to the item, then yes, do get hold of one of the admins to address the issue.
Now, I have previously got in contact with Deathismad regarding the missing California ID's on the ID list, and he told me everything I needed to know to update the list, and I did just that. And before you say anything about you being able to edit it too, I will say this. Editing something like a page on an item is not much of a big deal, though editing a page like the ID List is a whole different animal to tame. It can be quite tedious, and one tiny error could screw up the entire list, so there is lots of pressure under those edits to make sure everything is perfect. I do understand you want to help out the wiki very badly, though, before you try one of these, I suggest you edit other pages that are incomplete, or need to be updated to current wiki standards. If you need an example of a page to base your edits off of, feel free to look at the pages I have edited so far.
I hope you do understand what I'm saying, and I am not sure if you are ready for such a large scale edit just yet. Please do understand.
I appreciate you responding to Train quicker than I was able to. The first chunk of your response was quite helpful.
The last bit seemed discouraging, though you aren't wrong about the ID list's tricky nature, you could be more positive. The preview button helps prevent mistakes by letting you see the outcome of edits before publishing. If a user believes they cannot effectively edit, they shouldn't do it. Staff are available if users makes mistakes on edits that aren't fixed and warrant intervention. I can understand your concern, but I wouldn't take it upon myself to urge others to not edit a page because percieved ability.
Hey Miner I'm going to add the French Unform to the orginal uniforms and make gifs. So when I finish that can u check me and on last thing can you add more stuff to the page I created that about the lore
Aight, that's good. You should add the French uniforms in to the pictures. Just be sure to include the other item variants that correspond to said item in the gif. I will review said edit once completed, and I have time. And regarding the lore page you created, I do not want to mess with that. The lore for Unturned is already/should already be in each of the playable map pages. For that reason, I think it would be a bit unnecessary. Also, another thing. The lore in Curated or Workshop maps is not canon to the official Unturned maps. Any lore within a Curated map resides to that map and that map only. If you want to continue editing that page, be my guest. It just might get the yeetus deletus from the administrators. If I were you, I would check with either Death or Molt about it.
Yes, I actually have noticed that. I will see if I can get the Item ID's for Rio de Janero on the ID list soon.
Though, no guarantees that I will find the ID page with them on steam community. I'll update you once I find the ID's.
I already said i found them on a different page. when the ID's are like that, it makes it harder for me to work. 'Preciate the help, but I don't need the help. I am already at work with the Rio ID page, so no need to worry.
When I finish adding in the items, I will begin work on the vehicles. Just like I did for California. I am no stranger to adding ID's to the list, so don't worry, I will take care of it.
Though, you can help me by getting information on the spawn tables of Rio de Janeiro. Like, where the vehicles can spawn, and such things. This weekend, I will be at my father's, so I will have access to Unturned. I will be going on the Map Editor, looking over the spawn tables and such. For now, I will be creating the pages that are needed, like the weapons. Though, I will be taking screenshots of the items once I can get on the game. Just get the clothing pages set up for now, if you can. Thanks!
Heya, I'm the admin for the Unturned Bunker Wiki and I'd like to welcome you by saying thanks for your edit to the Rubicon page! If you need help with anything or just wanna say hello, feel free to contact other wiki staff or myself here.
