Hello everyone!
I have inherited the role of Wiki Manager for this wiki. Like those who were in the position before me, I am here on behalf of Fandom to support your wiki's community, help it grow and thrive and act as a liaison between you, and full-time staff. If you ever have an issue or question related to this wiki (editing, templates, wiki design, or any other matters related to Fandom), please feel free to contact me on my message wall, and I will assist in any way I can.😀

Staff Announcements
Hi all, just wanted to let you know that my role as WM with Fandom is over 6th March. If there is anything I can do for this community beforehand, please reach out during this time.
Best of luck with the wiki and to its community in the future!
Just Updated
Hello all, I'm The Embraced One or TEO, and I'm the Fandom Wiki Manager for this Wiki. I'm here to act as a liaison between you and Fandom Staff and help you and your community. If you ever have any questions or issues related to the Wiki, its features (editing, templates, layouts, etc.), or anything else, feel free to reach out to me on my message wall and I will be happy to help out!
Just a helpful reminder to all prospective editors that item data is found in the game files. Most information regarding items can be found at C:\Steam\steamapps\common\Unturned\Bundles
. From there, navigate to the proper folder for the item (or other asset).
Curated content (or content such as Germany's) can be found in their map folder at C:\Steam\steamapps\common\Unturned\Maps
, which will have its own Bundles
.
.dat files can be opened with any text editor, although Notepad++ is recommended.
At the very least, just don't create pages with virtually no information on them. It clutters the wiki, detracts from overall standards and page value, and makes it harder for editors to realize which pages still need information.
Copy-paste the layout of a similar page, or copy-paste a blank version of the template you're trying to insert (which can typically be found on the template's documentation). If you don't know what goes in a template parameter, then leave it blank rather than potentially add misinformation to a page. Most templates are designed to handle missing parameters with minimal breakage.
Just wanted to remind everyone that this wiki does have a Discord server, and also has an 'Unturned' (version 3) game server too. The Discord server can be joined at https://discord.gg/GUCXQWG.
Our server (commonly abbreviated to UBOWS) can be directly connected to with its IP of 108.61.100.48
and port of 25444
. The game server's information is available in the Discord server.

THE ISSUE IS NOW RESOLVED.
EDIT: Most of the issues should be pushed through by FANDOM on TUESDAY!
FANDOM tech team is looking into the tabber-related issues on wikis. They will hopefully be resolved rather soon, and it is unfortunate to have been like this for a few days now. I have tried to create some workarounds in the meanwhile, but until the issue is fixed the following will occur on some articles:
- Comments cannot load.
- Most images cannot load regardless of time passed.
- Infoboxes are generally broken and overflowing.
There are a few exceptions to this:
- Only one tab created by <div class="tabber"> is being used in the article's infobox. The tab will still be broken, but the rest of the tabber will sometimes work fine. Images should load properly, and comments should load.
- Mobile view can comment normally in most observed cases.
The problem originates from recent Fandom tweaks to improve "lazy loading" behavior on articles, but has affected some other things in the process. I personally cannot do anything to resolve this myself beyond trying to work with FANDOM staff members to more quickly root out the problem, as it is affecting all communities.
Although above describes the main issue you will see on the Unturned wiki, there are a few other issues to note that you may see more widely across all Fandom communities:
- Images loading at unacceptable speeds, even when cached.
- Images not loading in activity feeds.
- Images not showing in article edit previews.
- Tabs not showing in article edit previews.
- Tab content (basically the entire page) not showing in article edit previews.
- Videos cannot load either, due to also being rendered as a file.
- User pages, templates, and the homepage are also affected due to being rendered like articles.
- "While I'm away I think I'll have a hard time stopping myself from still reading your feedback in the evenings, so in the meantime during the break it'd be nice to give you something to discuss: I've been toying with ideas for 4.0. It's been on my mind recently and already I've got tons of features/improvements/changes I'd love to implement but just aren't possible in 3.0 at this point, and I've been catching up with Unreal Engine 4 considering whether it might be a good match. My hope is that the quality jump from 3.0 to 4.0 would be even bigger than the leap from 2.0 to 3.0 considering how much I've learned over the past 3 years. Note that I have no plans to begin 4.0 yet, and even if we were to go ahead with it there are many more updates to 3.0 planned. What are your thoughts on all this? I'm curious to see your response and especially if you have wishlists for 4.0 - nothing's off the table and if everyone's interested I might put together a new Trello board for 4.0 to group all your suggestions." -- Nelson Sexton

Unturned Wiki Official Server
IP: 108.61.100.48 | Port: 25444
The map is currently Carpat! The server is vanilla, with no RocketMod.
Hello!
Today is the day that Fandom pushed all of their header improvements across to every community. On a side note, a lot of articles got an updated infobox earlier today also.
Make an account and leave feedback! Your feedback will help to improve upon the wiki in what ways we can after this update.
1:
Left-portion: the wordmark. An image that is used to represent the wiki. Clicking it takes you to the homepage.
Right-portion: the community name. Text used to display the name of the wiki community. Clicking it also takes you to the homepage.
The large gray bar these things are on can have an image banner across it, too.
Staff will likely more personalize this more in the future.
2:
The top navigation bar. Some buttons can be clicked, some are purely dropdowns, and some are both.
The main difference is the ordering of stuff, as your standard Wiki Activity button is located under "Explore" now, which essentially replaces the outdated "On The Wiki" tab.
3:
The total count of main-space articles is the number on the left. It is followed by a button to create an article, and then a new button that can also be used to view Wiki Activity.
4:
Left-portion: the edit article button. There is a drop-down for some more options.
Middle-portion: the view comments button. It will quickly take you to the bottom of the article. There is a number indicating how many comments have been left so far.
Right-portion: the share article button. This can be used to share stuff about the article or content on social media.
5:
in: is used to show categories more notably. The original categories spot still exists, but this effectively helps loop the system.
If there are over four categories it will create a drop-down to view the rest.
Make an account! Aside from being able to comment and use the Forum, you can also contribute to articles, create blogs, ~~socialize~~, and personalize your profile.
Unturned Wiki Official Server

Indeed, I have acquired a server courtesy of Axel Hosting and its features will be up to the community of the wiki!
The front page poll has concluded that ~55% of those who voted prefer a vanilla server, so I will not be adding any mods in the near future. The base rocket mod was installed onto the server by default, but no other mods were added.
I'm still working on adjusting the server's config file. Reply to this thread with your opinion on the current values, it goes a long way to optimize the gameplay for a fair and unique experience. You can view the config values on the server's info page in-game before you connect.
Poll time!
PSST... I'll be on the lookout for an active server admin.
Hello! I see you clicked some buttons to get here. Reward yourself by joining the Unturned community on this wiki! All you have to do is make an account on Fandom, which is completely free and easy.
Last I checked, you also get less advertisements when you have an account. ;)
Make an account! You can do cool stuff. :D
Editing and Commenting:
You don't have to edit, you can just comment. I won't judge you for not editing things you think need to be edited.
So just comment if you don't want to edit! Or, if you do want to edit, then edit! (I'd prefer if you spent a bit of time figuring out how to edit though, before editing dozens upon dozens of pages. Just ask around.)
All you need to edit or comment is an account!
Forum:
You're already here. :v Just go back to the main Forum page and choose the board that is most relevant. Add to a thread, or make a thread. All you need is an account.

Live! Chat:
Make an account and you can use Fandom's built-in social feature known as the Live! Chat. It allows for nearly instant communication between other users in the Live! Chat, provided you have an account.
While it's a great way to talk back and forth with the rest of the community, it has some additional purpose as a method of getting help from veterans or staff, or with the usage of the private messaging system you can hold more secretive discussions.
Did I mention a plethora of emoticons? You'll like that. :) Everyone likes that. :)))
Aloha! Hawaii is officially released (as an Open Beta) with version 3.18.0.0. It is the first curated map, and built by Justin "Gamez2much" Morton, Terran "Spyjack" Orion, Alex "Rainz2much" Stoyanov, Amanda "Mooki2much" Hubler.
The map will continue to be updated over time by the Modz2much team based off feedback.
You can support them by buying the new Hawaii Map Mystery Box.
Be sure to view the full 3.18.0.0 Update Notes, and enjoy the new map.
To report bugs or give feedback, click the Report Bugs button on the main menu when Hawaii is selected. To prevent multiple bug reports on the same issue, I recommend checking to see if others have posted about it first, or to reply to an already made bug report (or listing of bugs) with more information.

Wikia has broken a lot of JS!
Please don't complain about missing tabbers or broken formatting. That's not the Unturned wiki's fault. No need to pester staff about it: scroll down if you're looking for Classic/Antique/Gallery information.
Just wanted to remind everyone that the wiki does have a Discord, even though we currently do not have any Unturned servers running anymore.
Just going to leave a nice link here for you all: https://discord.gg/pSvQZ4w
While it mainly serves as just an alternative to communicating on the Forums, it's also a great place to get help even faster than normal. Just remember that some of us still can't read your minds and computer screens yet. :(
I have personally installed the DiscordApp recently, and since it's a pesky startup program, I will have it infinitely eating at my memory for the sake of someone actually being in the chat at all times. :)
You can also use the voice-chat, I guess. That's cool too.
And it comes loaded with emoticons to personalize your text.
Aloha!
If you haven't caught on before now, there has been a new community update in the works by the same collaborators that created the Russia map. Rain, Gamez2much, Mooki2much, and Spyjack have been working on the Hawaii map.
For anyone who doesn't know about community updates yet, view this guide by the game creator: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=751009995
For anyone who wants to know more about Hawaii, you can see some images on the Smartly Dressed Games' blog: http://blog.smartlydressedgames.com/postcard-from-hawaii/
Be sure to also check out their own blog: http://modz2much.com/blog
If you haven't participated in the community before, this could be a great time to think about trying to hop on in.
Hey everybody, just thought that it's been a while without throwing a highlight out. May as well do so, like every wikia seems to do daily. *cough* No hard feelings to you other wikias. ;)
Getting into it, this is going to talk about two separate things: "us", and then "not us". We as a wikia specifically, and the whole system of sites generally.
Fortunately for all of you, the original version decided to be a butt and not process. You get a shorter wall of text. :)
You may already know about some of the things here, but, if you don't, it's good to be up-to-date! Take a gander on to the topics below.
NPCs, Quests, and Formatting Articles:
To start, it'd be best if I jumped straight to the most prevalent topic: formatting articles over NPCs, and quests.
Well, I'll be blunt with you: there is no real formatting for this. However, this doesn't mean you should shun away from editing. Basically, it's just using common sense to assume what would be a decent contribution.
Feel free to help contribute if you have anything to contribute, and just go for it. Since there's no super-specific formatting consensus over this yet, you can really just tinker around with the system and work on improving it, before any certain someones become too stubborn enthusiastic.
There are a lot of red-links currently, and large portions of information still lacking, or needing to be revised. Some of it may even need to be reverted, or deleted entirely. If you can use common sense, and contribute in good faith, then there shouldn't be any problems.
Here are some currently existing articles that can be of relevant use to you, and may include some red-links that need to be handled (or no longer hyperlinked, possibly):
- Quests
- Category:NPCs
- Category:Entity
- Russia
- Liberator
- Dr. Swanson
- ID List
- Upgraded Cake
- Getting the Word Out
Anyone wanting to join the wikia can easily do so right here. Not only is it a possible big project where the contributions would be heavily appreciated, but, you also have a bit more leniency since there's less formatting hassle beyond the normal consensus.
Singular Pages:
Something important, and kind of still new-ish, is singular page formatting. Basically, for anyone who had not participated in the polls, many pages are being merged together, on the basis of material differences.
The best example, and showcase, of this is the Door article. However, there's still a lot of pages that need to be handled still. Here's a copy-paste of something on my User-page:
Singularity Project | |||
Article | Stance ✓ | Article | Stance ✓ |
Doorway | Floor | ||
Garage | Hole | ||
Pillar | ✓ | Post | |
Ramp | Rampart | ||
Ramp Wall | ✓ | Roof | |
Stairs | ✓ | Triangular Floor
Triangular Roof | Wall | ✓ | |
Window | Barricade | ||
Circular Table | Door | ✓ | |
Doubledoor | Flag | ✓ | |
Fortification | Gate | ||
Hatch | Ladder | ||
Mannequin | ✓ | Rectangular Table
Shutter | Sign | ✓ | |
Square Table | Torch | ||
Doorframe | ✓ | Garageframe
Large Frame | Large Plate
Large Plate (Equilateral) | Large Plate (Right)
Pipe | Siding | ||
Small Frame | Small Plate
Small Plate (Equilateral) | Small Plate (Right)
Bow | Counter | ||
Counter Sink | Crate | ||
Library | ✓ | Plank | |
Rifle Rack | ✓ | Rod | |
Stick | ✓ | Trophy Case | ✓ |
Wardrobe | |||
This would be another great opportunity to join in on the wikia. Since you would really just be copy-pasting an already completed article, such as the Door article, and just replacing information from already made pages, there is very little MediaWiki experience required. You can quite safely see a bit of MediaWiki code without actually having to write any of it yourself.
Community Hub:
Now we're moving on to "not us", and, rather than starting with the latest, starting with the oldest. Of course, I am excluding some things that I didn't deem noteworthy enough to acknowledge.
The Community Hub! For anyone who did not already know about this already, the top 5,000 (five-thousand) wikias had a beta feature enabled on their site.
It's basically a more welcoming version of Special:Insights, and is designed to help people join the community. A lot of the features on it were suggested by vocal Wikians in their feedback, and it has improved a lot over the initial design.
I would recommend checking it out over at Special:Community, even if you aren't a new member of this wikia: it's cool enough for that.
Seriously, check it out. It has a ton of useful information for aspiring contributors.
Discussions:
This is a more recent development. Discussions is planned to replace the current Special:Forum feature, and, possibly, other discussion-based services (such as Talk-pages, Blogs, and Message Walls).
This is in its early stages, and is only being activated on a per-request basis, so there's only a couple wikias with it enabled thus far. However, I do recommend checking it out.
This is one of the two wikias I have seen with this feature: http://fallout.wikia.com/d/f?sort=trending
For more information, check this out: http://community.wikia.com/wiki/User_blog:Cristina7/Introducing_Discussions,_a_New_Platform_For_Engaging_Your_Community
Fandom Powered by Wikia:
Finally, the most recent thing to occur: Wikia Inc. has rebranded their Wikia service.
For anyone who remembers when the global navigation bar first changed, it had their new slogan added: "The Home of Fandom". Now, however, they've gone all out. Yesterday, October 4th, they officially rebranded to Fandom powered by Wikia.
Yep. That's all I have to say. It doesn't affect us all that much, just note that it's "Fandom" now. Oh, and you can now use the different links to reach the main site: http://www.fandom.com
So... yeah. Y'all can go have your discussions in the area below, if you have anything to say. Feel free to ask questions, or whatever, as long as it is mostly relevant.
Rather than contain this in the Wikia board, this will be in Announcements, and highlighted, to help with a more permanent spot with all categories being used, and to help encourage more visitors to help out.
What is this?
For the sake of naming things to name things, I'm dubbing major revamp projects that are to help make the wikia more professional, and organized, as RevamPro. RevamPro will serve as a general guideline for those who are unsure of what to edit, and as a focus, or target objective.
Current focus?
The focus for this first RevamPro is to help set up a standard for categorizing pages, and assign the proper item types to each item-based article. It is not a complete overhaul, as more categories are likely to appear for use, but sets up a basic foundation for every page, and will then further help any future organizational projects, or mass edits.
Application to item types?
When the Context Menu was added, items were assigned to an item type based off some data near the top of a .dat file. Articles for items should have the item classified as it is in-game.
For Ranged Weapons, we will still also use the secondary type. As an example, the Kryzkarek would be a Ranged Weapon (Handgun) in the Type variable of an infobox.
Ranged Weapons contain their secondary "type" in the item's description. However, the Unturned Bunker Wiki generalizes a few of these together, for simplification.
In Unturned 3, there are Construction Tools, Pistols, Revolvers, Cannons, Carbines, Assault Rifles, Rifles, Target Shooting Rifles, Battle Rifles, Hunting Rifles, Sharpshooter Rifles, Sniper Rifles, Machine Guns, Shotguns, Bows, Crossbows, Railguns, and Rocket Launchers.
This wikia instead uses the following categories:
- Handgun, a compound of Pistols, Revolvers, and Cannons.
- Carbine
- Assault Rifle
- Rifle, a compound of Rifles, Target Shooting Rifles, Hunting Rifles, and Battle Rifles.
- Sharpshooter Rifle
- Sniper Rifle
- Shotgun
- Machine Gun
- Bow, a compound of Bows and Crossbows.
- Miscellaneous Ranged Weapon, a compound of Railguns, Rocket Launchers, and Construction Tools.
